About Me

Madeline's Muse
Welcome, and thanks for stopping by. This is the place we meet to talk about all things jazz, green, and of course great food. Visit when you can. Share what you know or what you think. Like a good jazz experience, these posts are improvisation on the "themes of life." And like all good jazz,it is best shared with a friend. So tell someone you know. (And we won't even charge a cover or a 2 drink minimum!)

Bio

Sultry, unique, fun jazz describes the atmosphere created by Madeline Morgan's voice. A blending of nostalgia and hope with classic jazz.

Singing from the great American Songbook and beyond, audiences are reminded of life and loves – young, old and new. Her cabaret suspends time and space with her interpretation of lyric and time to the delight and amazement of her audiences.

For entertainment across generations, blending generations Madeline Morgan is a crowd pleaser.

Madeline, a member of the Chicago Cabaret Professionals, has sung in church and community choirs throughout the city, performing also at Davenport’s Piano Bar in her solo show, with Opportunity Knocks and Strut Your Stuff and 2012 Green Festival. When she is not singing, Madeline, a retired dentist, raises her voice for the environment ; as a Chicago Conservation Corps (C3) Leader for urban environmental awareness and community action, and as a Master Gardener educating and mobilizing others for community based conservation.

Testimonials

“Be advised, Madeline is a jazz singer that touches the mind, body and soul holistically”.

Baba Griot, Leonard Lucas, BA, MA., Spoken Word Artist

“Jazzy Lady, she croons with the Jazz of old. A smooth refrain, a scat evoking toe-tapping crescendo!

The Lady has soul! The Lady is bold! She's a joy to behold!”

J.D. Moore, author: Street Talk

“I have the pleasure of hearing a sultry, jazzy, snazzy vocalist with a charming stage presence and personality, perform at Talent Night at Mathers. She's truly a treasure. You should check her out!”

Lil' Bit, Karaoke Star

I have enjoyed Madeline's singing very much. She has a soothing melodic tone. She has a very smooth way of delivering her songs to the audience.

Willie Fikes 9/14/2018

“Thanks to Madeline. She re-introduced me to Jazz. I Love Jazz. I don't get a chance to hear it often. When I get the opportunity to hear Madeline, I jump at the chance. Keep up the “Good Grove”, Madeline.”
